Advent Day Retreat: Wait for the God Who Comes (Luke 1:26–38)
Advent invites us to slow down and wait attentively for the God who comes to us.
God met Mary in the midst of her ordinary life. Surprised and troubled, she stayed with what she heard, pondered what it might mean, and responded in trust.
Perhaps God comes to us in much the same way, in the ordinary and unexpected, in our hopes and longings, even in our questions and uncertainties.
Come as you are for a day of silence, Scripture and prayer. In the quiet, listen, notice and simply be present to the God who comes to meet you where you are.
