Advent Day Retreat: “You shall name Him Jesus” (Luke 1:26-45)

Advent marks the beginning of the Christian year. We start at the beginning again, to follow the life of our Lord Jesus for another new year.

Advent marks the coming of Christ. The angel announcing His birth said to Mary,
“You shall name Him Jesus.” Later, in a separate announcement to Joseph, the
angel added that “he will save his people from their sins.” (Luke 1:31; Matthew 1:21)

Join us in this retreat with this theme “You shall name Him Jesus” Luke 1:26-45. We will step closer into the story of Jesus’ birth, focusing on the angel’s announcement to Mary and Joseph.

Jesus is the true light that has come into the world. (John 1:9). Let us ponder and be
refreshed and renewed by the hope, peace, joy and love that He brings as we begin
a new year with Jesus.
